CAMPING & ACCOMMODATION
Bring a tent, and stay the weekend! Or stay at one of our neighboring lodges or hotels.
The majority of participants will sleep in the KTR race village at Simba Farm in West Kilimanjaro (2°59'14.2"S 37°04'56.9"E | -2.987276, 37.082484).
The Kili Trails race village offers camping, seating and dining areas, food vendors, restrooms, hot water showers, 24-hour security.
Tent and Sleeping Bag Rentals
You are welcome to bring your own tents, however we do have tents are available for rent, fully setup for participants:
Standard tent w/ 2 ground mattresses: USD $30 / night
VIP tent (walk-in w/ single cot, mattress, duvet & pillow per person + folding chair(s) on the front vestibule: $75-85 / night
Sleeping bags are also available for rent: $7.50 / night
Camping Details & Fees
KTR race village camping fees are $20 per person per night. (Children 11-17 half-price, 10 & under free.)
The campsite will be open from Thursday night through Monday morning. All tent sites will be granted on a first come, first served basis.
Pets, outside alcohol, and personal open fires are NOT permitted at KTR. You are permitted to bring your own food and drinks, as well as (non open fire) cooking solutions.
Live music will end at 9pm on both Friday and Saturday nights, though music may be played at much lower levels until 11pm. Please situate your tent accordingly.
